Sukran (Venus) receives initiation into the Mrutasanjeevani mantra which has the power of bringing the dead back to life. This knowledge makes the asuras claim Sukran as their preceptor. When Sukran accepts Kachan, the son of Guru (the preceptor of the Gods) as his student, the asuras are furious and kill Kachan. Sukran then revives Kachan through the powers of the mantra. Losing his life in the process, Sukran is brought back to life by Kachan. |
