August 16 - 23:
Arts exhibition - 'Besh, Besh, Besh’, a candid view of life in the city.
Eight Chennai-based artists present this arts exhibition at Prakrit Arts, Kotturpuram. Participating artists are Rama Suresh, Manisha Raju, Raju Durshettiwar, Nelson, Taygrajan, Usha Devi, N. Ramchandran and Vinay. Inauguration on August 15 by S. Muthiah at 7pm. The exhibition is open from 10am to 6pm.

August 16 - 23:
Photo exhibition - 'Greener Side of Madras'.
Exhibition of photos by Rod Hudson. At Gallery Sri Parvati, 28/160 Eldams Road, Alwarpet. Inauguartion On Aug. 15 at 11 am. Noted botanist Professor Dayanandan will inaugurate the exhibition and make a presentation on 'Trees of Chennai'. Open to all.

Art works by four Madras-based artists - Gayathri Aditya, Santhanam Krishnan, Gita and Mark Rathinaraj. At Dakshinachitra, Muttukaddu. On till 23rd. Open to all. The bus leaves Besant Nagar by 9.15am every morning and departs from DakshinaChitra by 6pm, excluding Tuesday.

At Asan Memorial School, Egmore. Inauguration on Aug. 17 at 9am and a talk by Dr. Prema Kasturi, former professor and head, history department, Women’s Christian College, and co-convenor, INTACH, on 'Education, with special reference to Chennai'.
