Performance opportunities for young artistes
The Tamilnadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram (Directorate of Art and Culture) has come out with a scheme of providing oppurtunities for the young talented artists belonging to the art disciplines of Bharathanatyam, Vocal Music, Kathakalakshepam. Young instrumentalists proficient in nadaswaram, violin, veena, flute, jalatharangam, gottuvadhyam, mandolin, guitar, saxophone and clarionet are also encouraged to apply.
Those in the age group of 16-30 years can apply. Applications and prospectus are available on cash payment of Rs.5/- in person or through post by sending money order for Rs.15/- to The Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu Iyal Isai Nataka Mandram, "Ponni" 31, P.S. Kumaraswamy Raja Salai, Chennai-600 028. Ph: 2493 7471. Last date for submission of forms is November 30, 2004.
