Nadha Brahmam conferred on D. K. Pattammal
The title of 'Nadha Brahmam' was conferred on veteran Carnatic vocalist D.K. Pattammal at the inauguration of the Isai Natya Nataka Vizha of Narada Gana Sabha, on Decemebr 15, in Chennai.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Dayananda Saraswathi said, "The laya in the so-called modern music inspires millions of teenagers, the youth have to focus on devotion now". The senior musician award was presented to 'Thanjavur L. Venkatesa Iyengar.
Kutcheris will be held at this sabha till January 2, 2005.
