Natyanjali at Chidambaram
'Natyanjali' the annual dance festival at Chidambaram's famed Nataraja temple, will be held from March 8 to 12, 2005. Commencing on Shivarathri, this is the 24th edition of the festival. It showcases artistes from various Indian classical dance styles from India and abroad. For dancers, it is a time to pay homage to lord Nataraja, the cosmic dancer.

Over the years, places close to Chidambaram, like Kumbakonam, Thiruvarur, Nagapatnam and Thanjavur have also started hosting Natyanjali festivals at their huge Saivite temples.
