Scholarships for young talent in Nadaswaram and thavil

Valayapatti Nadhalaya Trust inaugurated its 9th year music and dance festival yesterday at AVM Rajeswari hall, Mylapore.

The 'Kaashyap' scholarships were awarded to L. Thangarasu (Naadhaswaram) and M.Uthraj (Thavil).

The 'Kaashyap' Promising Child Artiste Award was presented to R. Swathi (Vocal) and V. Anirudh Athreya (Kanjira).

The inaugural dance performance featured Urmila Sathyanarayanan.
