Rasika Ranjani Sabha opens its annual music festival on Dec. 20 at 5.30 pm at the sabha's Sundareswarar Hall, Mylapore.
V. Shankar, President, Sri Shanmukhananda Sabha, Mumbai, inaugurates. Vocalist K.R. Saranathan gives the inaugural concert at 7 pm.
On Dec.22, at 4 pm, the Kanchi acharyas will confer the title of 'Kala Ratna' on musician Thanjavur V. Sankara Iyer. A vocal concert by Sankara Iyer will follow.
