The day of mridangists

As a mark of 60 years of service to Carnatic music by mridangist Guruvayur Dorai, a commemoration volume on the mridangist was released on Dec. 13 at Raga Sudha Hall, Mylapore. The event was hosted by the Guruvayur Dorai Trust.

The trust also honoured mridangam vidwan T.K. Murthy. Nalli Kuppusamy presided and V.V.Srivatsa was the chief guest. Musicians T.N. Krishnan, Palgat Raghu, S.V.Krishnan of Nadha Inbam and Hamsadhwani Ramachandran felicitated.

This was followed by a flute concert by N. Ramani.
