Art Festival at Kalakshetra

Kalakshetra Foundation will hold its 51st Art Festival from December 26 to January 4, 2004 at Bharata Kalakshetra Auditorium, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai - 600 041.

The festival will be inaugurated by violinist L. Subramaniam.
R. Venkataraman, former President of India and Chairman, Governing Board will preside. Programme: Daily at 6.30 pm

26-12-03: Inauguration at 6 pm. 'Karna Sapatham' Dance-Drama by Kalakshetra artistes.
27-12-03: Kathakali - 'Duryodhana Vadham'.
28-12-03: Violin Solo by L. Subramaniam, Vellore Ramabhadran - Mridangam, Subhash Chandran - Ghatam, H. P. Ramachar - Kanjira.
29-12-03: Bharatanatyam by Chitra Visweswaran.
30-12-03: Kuchipudi - by Meenu Thakur of Delhi.
31-12-03: U. Shrinivas - Mandolin, V. V. Srinivasa Rao - Violin, Thiruvarur Bhakthavatsalam - Mridangam.

01-01-04: M. S. Sheela - Vocal, Vittal Ramamurthy - Violin, J. Vaidhyanathan - Mridangam.
02-01-04: Odissi - by Sonal Mansingh.
03-01-04: 'Rama Vanagamanam' Dance-drama by Kalakshetra artistes.
04-01-04: 'Paduka Pattabhishekam' Dance-drama by Kalakshetra artistes.
