Chitra Visweswaran's thematic shows

Dance guru Chitra Visweswaran alongwith her disciple Vijay Madhavan presents 'Panchali', a duet performance at 7.30 pm tomorrow (Dec. 27) at Bharat Kalachar, T. Nagar.

The production is themed on Panchali's life and the various characters she confronts in the epic Mahabharata.

Research and choreography is by Chitra Visweswaran and music composition is by R. Visweswaran. This show was first staged at the 'Kavya Bharatham' festival hosted by Narada Gana Sabha's Natyarangam in August. This is again staged at 7.00 pm on Dec.30 for Brahma Gana Sabha at MCTM school auditorium, Mylapore.

Last week, Chitra Visweswaran alongwith her sishyas presented 'Raghuvamsa Tilakam', a dance drama based on the well known kriti 'Bhavayami...' to a packed audience at Kartik Fine Arts.

The dancer also performs at Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha (Vanimahal) on Dec. 28, at Kalakshetra on Dec.29 and at Narada Gana Sabha on Jan. 2, 2004.
