Awards evening at Vani Mahal

On an evening (Dec.9) when cyclonic weather battered Chennai, Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, more commonly called by the name of its venue, Vani Mahal, held the inauguration of the December Season festival.
The director of IIT, Madras, Prof. V. Kamakoti was the chief guest and a few senior artistes from music, dance, theatre and the performing arts were honoured. Among them, vocalist Pantulu Rama and Bharatanatyam guru, Sheela Unnikrishnan.
