Kalakshetra's postponed fest from January 26; Chennai

Kalakshetra Foundation had to postpone its annual December season-time fest because its auditorium was damaged by cyclone Vardah that hit Chennai city in early December.

Now, Kalakshetra's re-schedued  64th Annual Art Festival will open on Republic Day on its campus.

It will feature four of Kalashetra's own celebrated dance-dramas originally produced by its late founder Rukmini Devi.

Tickets will be available from 11th December 2016 at Kalakshetra Foundation​ (10am to 5pm)​. They can be booked in advance.

Kalakshetra Foundation staff will also offer its exclusive Heritage Walks on each morning of the festival at 8:30am.

Jan 27 - 6:00 pm : Nadaswaram recital  by Vyasarpadi G.Kothandaraman

Jan 28 - 6:00 pm : Vasanthalakshmi Narasimhachari presents 'Simhanandini Chitranatyam'

      7:30 pm : Bharatanatyam margam by Shijith Nambiar and Parvathy Menon

Jan 29 - 6.00 pm : Bharatanatyam - margam  by Srikanth and Aswathy
      7.30 pm : IceCraft presents 'Angika' by Sanjukta Sinha

Jan 30 - 6:00 pm : Carnatic vocal by N.Vijay Siva and party

Jan 31 - 6:00 pm : Sabari Moksham - dance-drama by Kalakshetra Foundation

Feb 01 - 6:00 pm : Choodamani Pradanam - dance-drama by Kalakshetra Foundation

Feb 02 - 6:00 pm : Mahapattabhishekam - dance-drama by Kalakshetra Foundation
