Bharat Gupt, an Associate Professor in English at the College of Vocational Studies of the University of Delhi, is an Indian classicist, theatre theorist, sitar and surbahar player, musicologist, cultural analyst, and newspaper columnist.

Imporatant Karikas (shlokas) in all the 36 chapters of Natyashastra will be discussed with reference to the deeper meaning, mythological aspect, classical and modern theories and current day practises. Dr. Gupt will also be discussing the various art forms covered in Natyashastra like music, dance, theatre and connect them with present day forms of expressions like films and documentaries.
