The annual classical dance festival that is hosted by Odisha (Orrisa) Tourism and the state at the famed Konark Sun Temple will be held from Dec.1 to 5 this year.

Dancers in the disciplines of Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Mohiniattam and Kuchipudi styles will be featured at this unique setting which is about 60 kms from the capital, Bubaneshwar.

The Kalakshetra Dance Repertory led by Leela Samson is scheduled to perform on Dec.5, the final day of the Fest.

There are 2 recitals daily and they are held on an open air stage with the temple as a backdrop.

A Sand Art Fest is also on near the seashore here.

The Dept. of Tourism here says it has special packages for tourists / rasikas with m, bus travel, snacks and show tickets thrown in.
