Pappus Academic & Cultural Trust (PACT) is organising a book release function on February 26 at 6:30 p.m. at TAG Center, TTK Road, Chennai.
The book 'Rasamanjari' deals with the classification of heroines and heroes, Nayikas and Nayakas.
Bhanudatta, a 15 century poet authored the original treatise Rasamanjari in Sanskrit.
This new book is in English and is a comprehensive translation with transliteration, commentary and notes by eminent scholar, musicologist and Secretary of The Music Academy, Dr.Pappu Venugopala Rao.
The book also carries paintings from Allahabad Museum drawn for the text in 16 century and pictures by a well known contemporary artiste Bapu.
This work is an essential tool to all Indian classical dancers, natyacharyas and choreographers.
