Classical dancers and arts enthusiasts can check out this two-day symposium that dancer Sailaja is hosting at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore, Chennai on Sep. 18 and 19.
The dancer who is trained in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi has hosted two similar events the past years.
This year she has a galaxy of senior dancers, gurus and scholars like Sudharani Raghupathy, Dr. Raghuraman and Dr. S. A. K. Durga besides performers of Odissi and Chau speaking at various sessions.
The talks are in the morning and recitals in the evenings. Senior artistes will also be honoured.
Sailaja says that the talks are recorded and documented so that they can be used for study purposes later.
