The Dhananjayans were given the Naatya Ratna Award by E S L Narasimhan (Governor of Andhra Pradesh) and an alumni of Adyar Besant School, Kalakshetra.

The eventt ook place under the auspices of Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha New Delhi on the occasion of their 60th Anniversary Sangeeta Naatya Utsav held from February 26th to March 3rd 2010. The venue - Andhra Pradesh Bhavan's Ambedkar Auditorium.
