Senior dancers and gurus V. P. Dhananjayan and his wife Shatha are among a
select few who have bene chosen for the prestigious G D Birla award for 2009.

The award carries a purse of Rs.5 lakhs.

The awards will be presented by Vice President of India Dr. M. A. Ansari at an
investiture ceremony to be held on 8th March at his residence.
