Sree Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha, New Delhi has arranged a five day Tyagaraja Music Festival from 26th Feb. to 2nd March at New Delhi.

Besides presenting their annual prestigious awards to outstanding artists in the field of music and dance the programme includes several music concerts.

This year’s receipient of the awards are:

Shanta & V. P. Dhananjayan, Y.G.Mahendran, Ranjani & Gayathri and O. S. Arun

The award for a drama artiste is being presented for the first time.

The festival is being inaguarated by His Excellancy the Governor of Andhra Pradesh E. S. L. Narasimhan.

The accompanying artists for the programmes are R. K. Shriramkumar (Violin). Raghavendra Rao (Violin) K. V. Prasad (Mrudangam), Neyveli Narayanan (Mrudangam), Patri Satish Kumar (Mrudangam), R. Raman (Morsing) and B. S. Purushotham (Kanjira).
