The year 2009 marks Chitravina N Ravikiran’s 40 years of contributions to the field of Carnatic music. The significance of this milestone is that it has been accomplished in 42 years.

To celebrate this achievement, the disciples of Ravikiran will come together to felicitate him on 1 December 2009, 6 pm, at Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium, Mylapore, Chennai.

The function will include felicitations by eminent personalities and a vocal concert by R K Srikanthan, accompanied by Sriram Parasuram, Umayalpuram Sivaraman and Karthick, among other surprises.
