Bharathanjali Trust is based in Chennai and run by guru Anitha Guha and her team. This year being the beginning of the twentieth year of founding of Bharathanjali Dance School, the Trust is felicitating elders who have spent their lives for the cause of dance and music.

Here are the awardees - late Yagna Raman, former Secretary, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha - (the award will be received by his son Y. Prabhu): Kartik Rajagopal, Founder-Secretary,Vice-President, Kartik Fine Arts: D. S. Ramanujam, former Secretary, Kartik Fine Arts : Leela Sekhar, Chairperson,IDA , R. Srinivasan, arts activist: Nandini Ramani, Bharathanatyam exponent, K.Hari Prasad, lecturer and vocalist at Kalakshetra and Dr. Gayatri Kannan, dancer.

The award presentation’ function is to be held on 23 November, 6 p.m at Vani Mahal, T.Nagar, Chennai-17, in the presence of Dr. Pappu Venugopal Rao, Secretary, The Music Academy and Prof. Sudharani Raghupathy, dance guru.
