'Samudhra', a Chennai-based arts magazine held its seventh anniversary celebrations on Nov.15. It was inaugurated by Dr. Srinidhi Chidambaram. She also launched the online magazine, www.samudhra.org.

Dr.Radha Bhaskar, editor of 'Samudhra' welcomed the gathering. The function was presided by Dr.Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti.

On this occasion, the "Gnana Samudhra" award was conferred on art educator V. R. Devika, of Chennai for her service to fine arts. Mudhra’s Music Directory 2010 was released by Dr. Mrs.Y.G.Parthasarathy and first copy received by Nagai Muralidharan.

The function was followed by a violin duet concert by Nagai Muralidharan & Nagai Sriram, accompanied by Srimushnam Raja Rao and T. V. Vasan.
