Cleveland aradhana fest of music and dance opens on April 9 in USA

The annual Cleveland aradhana festival of music and dance in the USA is on this
year from April 9 to 19 as it keeps its date with the Easter eve season.
This year, the list of artistes who will be recognised on stage is big and
varied and this event takes place in the presence of Prof. S. Ramachandran,
Vice-chancellor of University of Madras.
The awardees are - M. S. Gopalakrishnan, A. K. Palanivel, Suguna Purushothaman,
V. P. Dhananjayan and Shantha Dhananjayan, Parasala Ponnamma, B. M. Sundaram, A.
Vijayaraghavan of Los Angeles, Vasantha Krishnan, Montreal, Jay Shankar Balan,
Detroit, Seetha Rajan, Palai C. K. Ramachandran and V. Subrahmanian.
Besides the kutcheris which feature well known artistes and the lec-dems in the
morning and afternoon sessions, one of the major shows lined up this season is
one on Sri Gopalakrishna Bharathi's 'Nandan Charithram Geetha Nrithyam'.
It features dance and music and in the lead are V. P. Dhananjayan and his wife
Shantha and vocalist Suguna Varadachari and a host of musicians who star in this
production ( April 12 evening).
