Chennai-based arts organisation Mudhra has revived long duration concerts by organizing 4 hour concerts regularly from 1990. Mudhra has innovated further by introducing a new concert format in Carnatic music, one of it being the 'One raga one kriti' (short duration concert). An exclusive festival of 'One raga one kriti' was organised in 1996 at The Music Academy where every artist featured only a single composition, studded with elaborate exposition of raga alapana, niraval, svaram and tani avarthanam.

Now, Mudhra Music has released the DVD of the One raga-one kriti sung by O.S.Thiagarajan. It features.A.Kanyakumari on violin and Thiruvarur Bakthavathsalam on mridangam. It highlights Raga: Karaharapriya and Kriti : Chakkaniraja of Thyagarja. The DVD was released in Chennai recently by violin maestro T. N. Krishnan and Dr.Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti received the first copy.
