There have been a few warm events held in Chennai to celebrate the grand old man of Carnatic music - S. Rajam.
The milestone - Rajam turned 90 recently.
First up was a social function at his famed Nadu Street house in Mylapore, the street that runs off from the 'theradi' of Sri Kapali Temple.
Family and relatives got together to celebrate the birthday of a man of many parts - actor, artist, singer, writer, photographer and raconteur.
Recently, Rajam's sishyas and well wishers got up an event at a small hall at the Narada Gana Sabha campus. High tea, felicitations, sharing and some music. Through all this Rajam enjoyed himself.
