Bangalore based music organisation Ananya has already released the translation of Sangeetha Sampradaya Pradarshini, the compendium of Dikshitar kritis originally written by Subbarama Dikshitar, to Kannada.

As part of the celebration of this event, Ananya is hosting a competition on Muthuswami Dikshitar kritis.

Students and artistes under 30 years of age can participate in the competition. They should be able to sing alapana, neraval and swaraprasthara.

The competiiton will be held on April 26, 2009 at Ananya Sabhagana, Malleswaram.
