It is time for celebrations for the students of guru Kalanidhi Narayanan. The abhinaya exponent is turning 80 this year.
The celebrations will take place on Dec. 8 at 6.30 pm at Kalakshetra auditorium.

Swami (Devi) Vasanthananda will be present at the function and Mrs. Y.G.P, patron of arts and head of Bharat Kalachar will preside over the function.

Triveni, a book celebrating three composers Annamayya, Kshetrayya, Sarangapani authored by Kalanidhi Narayanan with translation by V.A.K.Ranga Rao will be released by Industrialist L.Sabaretnam and the first copy will be received by dance guru Prof.C.V.Chandrashekar.

Also a book on Kalanidhi Narayanan - 'Guru Kalanidhi : Expressing Dance and Expressing Life' by Lakshmi Lal will be released by Mrs.Y.G.P and the first copy will be received by dancer Leela Samson, director, Kalakshetra Foundation.

Navarasas, a DVD presented by Kalanidhi Narayanan will also be released at the function by R.Krishnaswamy of Narada Gana Sabha and Nandhini Ramani, Executive Member, Sangeet Natak Akademi will receive the first copy.

'eParampara', a recording company based in Chennai will screen a documentary on Kalanidhi Narayanan and the disciples will present a dance tribute to the legendary guru.
