Sri Ariyakudi - K.V. Narayanaswamy Memorial Trust celebrated the 85th birth anniversary of the late vocalist Palghat K. V. Narayanaswamy as a three days' function recently in Chennai.

M. A. Baby, minister for cultural affairs, Govt. of Kerala presided over the function. Senior mridangam artiste Umayalpuram Sivaraman, bharatanatyam dancer Vyjayantimala Bali also participated in the celebaration.

Prizes for the music competition held earlier in memory of the vidwan were distributed during the event.
Anuradha Suresh Krishnamurthy, daughtre and disciple of KVN presented a vocal concert. Vyjayantimala Bali performed exclusively for the items she learnt from the vidwan.
