Saxophone artiste G. Ramanathan made asthana vidwan
 


 

G. Ramanathan, son and disciple of senior musician T. V. Gopalakrishnan is also a senior disciple of saxophone vidwan Kadri Gopalnath.

Ramanathan has been made Asthana Vidwan of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam on Sep. 30 at the Sangeetha Vidwath Sadas at the Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, Kanchipuram.

Many eminent musicians and music lovers were present on the occasion.

G.Ramanathan is a Graduate in Indian Music from the University of Chennai and also a graduate in Western Classical Music. Recipient of many awards, he has also travelled widely and performed in many various Sabhas in Chennai and India and also toured to various other countries as well.
