nternational Dance Alliance and Padmalaya Centre for Performing
Arts, Banglore will be holding Uttsav - dance festival on Nov. 8.
Padmalaya Centre for Performing arts, headed by Padma Murali has
been training young artistes in the field of bharathanatyam for the
past 20 years.
The International Dance Alliance(IDA), an organization that
encourages art and aspiring artistes in Chennai for the last 25
years under the guidance of Ms. Leela Sekhar and has been hosting
the annual dance festival from the year 2004.
In this year's festival, five different groups will be performing
Bharathanatyam (Muralidaran and group,Chennai) , Mohiniattam (Shruthi
and group) , Kuchipudi (Archana Punyesh and group), Tarangam (Sheela
Unnikrishnan and group ,Chennai) and Bharathanatyam (Roopa Upadhyaya
and group, Madikere) forms.
Smt.Sharada Subramaniam IA&AS, Special Secretary to the Governor of
Karnataka will be the chief guest for the occasion.
Padmalaya Centre for Performing Arts will honour the art critic Dr.
M. Surya Prasad with the award Kala Rathna during the fest.
