TAPAS – The Academy, Chennai is hosting its annual day on 29th September evening at Smt. Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium, Mylapore, Chennai.
It will confer an award on dance guru Jayanthi Subramaniam 'for her all round excellence in Bharathanatyam and her extraordinary service towards bhakthi-oriented traditional dance'.

Guru S. Sarada, affectionately called as 'Periya' Sharadha teacher, the seniormost member of Kalakshetra will present the award and Narayana Vishwanath, Chief Editor, 'Sarigamapadani' magazine will preside.

The programme is marked by staging of dance drama "Kannan Thiruvilayadal" by the students of TAPAS.
