Headed by founder and director, Prof. Sailaja who specialises in the Vazhuvoor style of Bharatanatyam and the Vempati tradition in Kuchipudi, the institution is to host the first national seminar titled, "Tradition -Transition-Transformation".

It will be inaugurated by the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Surjit Singh Barnala on September 27 and 28.
The seminar will be held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.

A documentary on Kuchipudi by dancer Yamini Krishnamurti, a discussion on the theme 'Tradition, Transition and Transformation' by eminent persons in the arts, along with a question and answer session and the honouring of dance gurus are part of the event to be spread over the two days.
