Chennai-based dancer Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala chose to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her school - Kalpradarshini - with a special tribute to Ghantasala Venkateshwara Rao, the legendary singer.
This was her way of celebrating her father-in-law.
Parvathi choreographed and performed for a string of his hugely popular songs along with 75 students of Kalapradarshini.
Parvathi and her team worked a lot on the documentation on Ghantasala to choose the film clippings and the vintage songs.
Songs from films like 'Gundamma Katha', 'Panduranga Mahathyam' and 'Rahasyam' were featured.
A documentary with film clippings on the life of the genius was screened. The programme concluded with a musical treat by Sharat Chandra and his troupe from Hyderabad.
