This Carnatic music contest is a 40:40 type.

It has little to do with 20:20 cricket but it seems to have been inspired by it!
This competition is the idea of 'Ghatam Suresh who runs "International Society for Laya Awareness in Mylapore.

'Isai Velvi 2008' showcases forty performances of forty minutes each in a span of three days from August 15 to 17 at Raga Sudha Hall, Mylapore,Chennai.
This is an opportunity for aspiring artistes in the age group of 15-35 to showcase their talent, they should have trained adequately under a guru and must be good enough to perform on stage.
A full fledged kutcheri should be performed. and you can perform as a team in the same age group.
