Four talented and young artistes who were recently decorated with a prestigious award - the Yuva Puraskar awards instituted by the Sangeet Natak Akademi in memory of maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan - were feted at a Mylapore hotel this week in Chennai.
The host was arts promoter Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti.

The four awardees are vocalist Sikkil C. Gurucharan, mridangist for dance and choreographer K. S. R. Anirudha, violinist Akkarai S. Subhalakshmi and classical dancer C. Lavanya Ananth.

All of them reside in the Mylapore area.
Kuppuswami Chetti always hosts a function to felicitate national awardees in the arts.
