Melange of classical dance in Chennai
 

Enjoy the pictures of this dance celebration

'Thaka Dhimi Tha' is a TV show devoted to classical dance. Telecast on Jaya TV on Sunday mornings ( 8 a.m.), it has recently completed 250 episodes. Also, the show won the annual RAPA award. These are awards are given to the bests in the radio and TV business.

While Radhika Shurajit visualises and directs the show, Churchill Pandian co-ordinates its production. To celebrate the award and the landmark telecast, the duo hosted a special dance show on June 7 evening at Narada Gana Sabha, Chennai.

Actor-dancer Vyjayanthimala Bali was the chief guest.
The event featured group dance presentations by the sishyas of gurus Padma Subrahmanyam, Sudharani Raghupathy, Chitra Visweswaran, the Dhananjayans, Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala, the Muralidharans and others.
