The annual Indian dance magazine 'attendance' was released recently.
Publishing in spring by Ashish Kokhar to give an overview of India's classical dance world, this year's issue (10th anniversary) focuses on three generations of classical dancers - the gurus, the seniors and GenNext and features the best ten in each category.
Besides this, there are other regular features which document the highlights of the past year.
The 152-pages, all-colour magazine is priced at Rs.500 and is sold at leading bookshops.
The magazine was launched in Delhi recently.
Also in Delhi, dance guru M. K.Saroja received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Lt. Governor of Delhi.
On the occasion, a biopic on the life and times of guru Saroja, penned and published by Ashish Mohan Khokar of Ekah Bios was also released and Shanta Serbjeet Singh received the first copy and introduced the book.
On May 31 evening in Bangalore, at Natya Institute, Malleswaram, the same book will be released. A film on guru Saroja and the 'attendance' issue will be also be released.
