Neyyantinkkara Vasudevan (the Carnatic music maestro who passed away recently) was a very warm human being, very simple and open hearted.
I still remember a concert of his at the Tyagaraja aradhana organized by the Sathguru Sangeetha Sabha, Kozhikode.
His alapana of Mohanam and kanada, the two main ragas were memorable.
The soft gamaka that he introduced at the tail end of the phrase 'nanu palaim pa' still rings in the ears of this admirer.
