'Mythologies Retold' tours five cities
 

Delhi based costume designer Sandhya Raman conceptualised a dance drama, which recognises the dilemmas faced by women in the contemporary world.

'Mythologies Retold -- The Female Grail' a 60-minute dance drama, staged first in New Delhi in Sep. 2007 is now touring five cities in India.

The show highlights the directions that empower women at the subconscious level and addresses the issue of female foeticide.

The production by Rasaja Foundation is in artistic collaboration with Geeta Chandran, a Delhi based Bharatanatyam dancer who runs her own dance school, Natya Vriksha Academy in New Delhi.

While the dance is choreographed by Geeta Chandran, the theatre aspects of this production is by Rashmi Vaidyalingam. Ratna Raman has been behind the research for this dance drama and the costuemes are by Sandhya Raman.

Kolkata - April 6, 2008 at 6.45 pm at G. D. Birla Sabhaghar
Bangalore - April 9, 2008 at 6.45 pm at Chowdiah Hall
Hyderabad - April 11, 2008 at 6.45 pm at Ravindra Bharathi
Chennai - April 13, 2008 at 6.45 pm at Museum Theatre
Mumbai - April 15, 2008 at 6.45 pm at Nehru Centre auditorium
