For the last four years, Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu has been experiencing a music season for a fortnight in September. Just as the December season is to Madras, that is Chennai.

Rajalakshmi Audio, a company promoted by Dr. Satish, a passionate arts promoter is holding the festival. the auditions for the juniors' slots were on from May / June.
This year the fest is scheduled from Sep 1 to 16.
During the fornight, there are concerts from 3pm beginning with junior artistes performing. This is followed by a Harikatha session and the evening concert from 6pm is slated for the senior artistes.
