Dr. Rajeev Taranath, eminent Sarod maestro will preside over this year's conference.
The inauguration ceremony of the conference will be held on August 5 at 10am

Experts sessions will be held from August 6 to 11 daily at 9.45 am featuring technical subjects on music. S .N. Chandrasekhar, senior musicologist, art critic and journalist will inaugurate the sessions on August 6 at 10 am. The theme of the Conference is 'Growth and Development of Hindustani Music in Karnataka'.
The subjects in Experts session include both Carnatic and Hindustani forms of music.

Compositions of Subbaraya Sastry will be handled by senior musician Dr. R. K. Srikantan. Compositions of Karigiri Rao by vocalist M. S. Sheela, Tillanas of Veena Seshanna by Mysore V.Subramanya and Rajalakshmi Tirunarayan. Dr. Radha Bhaskar will present a session on Krithi Form of Trinity
Dr.Shamala G. Bhave, Lalitha Ubhayker, Rajashekar Mansur, Dr.Rajeev Taranath and Muddu Mohan will handle sessions in Hindustani music.
Mutual Influence of Karnatic and Hindustani Ragas will be presented by Shakuntala Narasimhan. Pt. Satish Vyas will present a session in Music Management - Impressario.

Mysore V. Subramanya will be the Chief Programme Co-ordinator.

There will be music concerts daily from August 5 to 12 from 6 pm.

Sadas, the Valedictory session, will be held August 12 at 10 am. Dr. Rajeev Taranath, Conference President will be conferred the title 'Sangeetha Kalaratna'
