Violinist L. Vaidyanathan passes away
 
Famed violinist and music director L. Vaidyanathan passed away om May 19, following a massive heart attack. He was 65.

Vaidyanathan along with his younger brothers L. Subramaniam and L. Shankar used to perform as the well known ‘violin trio.’
Vaidyanathan was also a music director for many movies in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

A recipient of Kalaimamani award by the Tamil Nadu government, Vaidyanathan is also rememebered for his music scored for 'The Malgudi Days' a television serial based on the writings of the well knowm Indian writer R. K. Narayan,

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
