The Music Academy, chennai has announced the awards for the year 2007. Senior mridangist Palghat V.Raghu will receive the title Sangita Kalanidhi.
The title Sangita Kala Acharya will be conferred on vidwans B.Krishnamurthy and V.Subramaniam. Musician - guru Seetarama Sharma and Sita Doriaswamy will receive the TTK awards for the year. Vocalist Madurai Sri G.S. Mani will be given the Vaggeykkara award.
The awards will be conferred on the day of 'sadas' on Jan. 1, 2008.
