Chennai based Tirukodikaval Srinivasa Vaidyanatha's Charitable Trust is conducting a violin competition for non-performers intituted under the name of the yester year violin vidwan Tirukodikaval Krishna Iyer.

The competition is open to students of violin in the age group 17 to 30. a time limit of 10 minutes will be given to display the skills of raga alapana and present a kriti with niraval and swaram of his or her choice.

The winner will recieve a gold medal and a certificate.
