Adviteeya, a unique album released

Young vocalist Kuldeep M. Pai is a multi talented artiste with versatility in playing many other musical instruments.

In a special album, Adviteeya - A unique effort, Kuldeep has played the role of the lead vocalists and has provided all the instrument support for his own voice.

Trained by N. P. Ramaswamy of Kochi and later by senior vocalist O. S. Thiagarajan, Kuldeep holds a masters degree in Indian Music from the University of Madras. He also had special training in laya from the mridangam maestro Mannargudi Easwaran.

In the album, Kuldeep has provided all the instrument support to his own voice. "After my singing I could add the violin and percussion support independently and finally blend it into a complete concert format. All this was possible with the help of technical advancements in audio recording", says Kuldeep

His guru O.S.Thiagarajan released the album on Nov. 22 in Chennai and singer S. Janaki received the first copy.

The guests of the evening were singer P. B. Sreenivos, musician-guru P. S. Narayanaswamy, mridangist Mannargudi Easwaran and musicologist Dr. S.A.K.Durga.

The function was followed by a vocal concert by Kuldeep. M. Pai with M. A. Sundareswaran on violin, Mannargudi Easwaran on mridangam and S. Karthick on ghatam.
