Flutist Atul Kumar, grandson of the veteran flutist N. Ramani married Subhashini on Nov. 23 in Chennai. Subhashini is a diploma holder in music training and works for a leading music recording company.

Artistes from the music circle attended the wedding. On the evening, there was a concert by Aruna Sairam at the reception.
