Five-day workshop on Annamacharya kritis by Nedunuri Krishnamurthy / Chennai

Sampradaya, a center for South Indian music traditions, will be conducting a special course on Annamacharya Kritis and Bhadrachalam Ramadoss Kritis from September 12 to 16, at two venues in Chennai.

The resource person for the course is the renowned senior musician guru Nedunuri Krishnamurthy and the vocalists, the Malladi brothers.

One course will be held in the mornings at the Sampradaya premises in Kalakhetra campus in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm daily.

Another course will be held only in the afternoons in Mylapore on the same dates. This course will be on at Ragasudha Hall, near the Nageswara Rao Park, Luz, Chennai between 3 pm and 5 pm.

Those who are interested can sign up for any one of these courses at one venue. Nedunuri Krishnamurthi has served as principal in three government music colleges till he retired in 1985. He has set to tune several kirthanas of Annamacharya and Bhadrachalam Ramadoss.

Sampradaya invites applications from senior music students to participate in the special course. The course fee is Rs. 500.
