The Coimbatore Kendra of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan hosts its 11th Pongal music festival from January 12 to 16, 2006 at Bhavan's premises, R.S. Puram, Coimbatore.
The title of 'Sangeeth Samrat' will be conferred on Thiruveezhimizhalai S. Dakshinamurthi Pillai.
Thyagaraja aradhana will eb held on Jan. 15. at 9 am.
A lec-dem, 'Musical Excellence in the compositions of teh Trinity' will be held at 10 am on AJn. 16.
Music concerts in teh evenings feature Ranjanai and Gayathri, T.V. ramprasadh, Mysore M. Nagaraj and M. manjunath, Sikkil C. Gurucharan and P. Unnikrishnan besides young talent.
