| Dance fest in aid of tsunami victims |   | |||
| The dance community in Chennai got together to present a two-day fest in aid of the tsunami victims. It was organised by dance guru Hema Rajan and her team from Nrithyopasana. More than 60 dancers participated. And it seemed as if there were more people on stage than in the audience at Narada Gana Sabha's huge auditorium.
The five elements were presented in dance by Suryanarayanamurthy, Muralidharan, Roja Kannan, Jayanthi Subramaniam and Srekala Bharath along with their sishyas. The fest also featured a dance drama by students of Anitha Guha, 'Utpala' by Anita Ratnam and her group, Mohiniattam by Gopika Varma, Kuchipudi by students of Sailaja and Bharatanatyam by students of Samyuktha, Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala, Ravi Sharma, Sarada and Sujatha Mohan. | ||||
