| Music conference in Ramanathapura / Karnataka |  |
| Karnataka Ganakala Parishat will host a music conference from October 6 to 10, 2004 at Ramanathapura, a village on the banks of river Cauvery in Hassan district of Karnataka.
During the conference the well known musicologist of Bangalore Dr. Shashi Devi will be conferred with the title 'Ganakala Bhusana' and the well known violinist Vidwan H.K. Venkatram will be conferred with 'Ganakala Sri'.
This is the first time that the Parishat is hosting the conference in a village like Ramanathapura. All these years the conference was being held at the district head quarters.
This was announced by the Ganakala Parishat Youth wing Convener Vidwan R. Karthik Hebbar at a meeting in Bangalore. Parishat President, Vidwan R.K.Padmanabha and the Secretary Mysore V.Subramanya were also present.
